“Awful one night stay”

  , Saint Leonard
My daughter and I arrived close to eleven pm after dealing with terrible traffic on 95N. There was no where to park. I double parked out front after circling the lot twice and went inside to check in. A couple in front of me had the same concern about parking as well. While waiting to check in, the clerk had two complaints from customers already checked in. When the clerk finally helped me, she was courteous but did not beleive me about the parking situation. When she went out to show me where I could park, she realized I was correct. Her solution was to wait unti her shift ended at 11. Then two parking spots would be available when she and her partner left. Then she informed me she would have to wait until the next shift arrived, so it might be later than 11. After finally having a place to park, my daughter and I went to our room on the second floor. It was one of the creepiest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. Our room was right next to the employee lounge. There were holes drilled into the wall on that side of our room. There was no inner latch to the lock on our door. It looked as if the door had been kicked in at some point and the latch was broken off. There were mirrors along the whole wall behind our beds. There was a disgusting stain on the cushion on the window seat. The water smelled moldy and there was mold on the heat lamp. The shower curtain did not close all the way. I was awoken at 3 am because I could hear everything that was going on in the rooms above us. It would not surprise me if this place was trafficing in humans. After getting our things into the room I went down to the "kitchen" area to get hot water for some tea. When I went back to the elevator there were three suspicious looking guys who were obvioulsy high. When the elevator opened two equally suspicious guys were exiting the elevator and words were exchanged between the two parties that clearly indicated rival gangs. The two guys finally exited and I did get on the elevator. When I got off on the second floor, one of the three guys started to follow me. I am not sure if he did not realize he was on the wrong floor or had other intentions. When I turned to look at him he turned around and got back on the elevator. Our beds were comfortable but other than that, I have nothing positive to say. When we went down for breakfast in the morning, the tables were filthy, the food area was a mess, the trash was overflowing, the bagels were not fresh, and the orange juice was rancid.
