“Great hotel for the price!”

I had a great stay at Wingate by Wyndham. I actually stayed here the night before I flew cross country and the night I returned because I live 2 hours away from the airport. They also let me park my car there for the week for less than half of what the airport charges. The service was great. They recommended restaurants in the Raleigh area and were very kind and helpful. The only 2 complaints I have were that their shuttle driver had apparently quit and I had to get a cab to and from the airport. The hotel paid for the cab both times though. The problem was when I left, they told me to just call when I returned to Raleigh for the shuttle (or cab) and they would send it. So I did as told. The girl that answered the phone told me that cabs would be there and to just wave one down. Because I am not familiar with the airport, I didn't know that they park all the way on the other side (which she also failed to mention) and I stood outside in the cold for 30 minutes (after an all day flight) before asking one of the security guys. Another plus of this hotel is that they have a 12 noon checkout time...very cool! (especially after long flights) However, my second complaint is that they need to tell their maids not to start cleaning any rooms until after that noon checkout time. I was exhausted and they woke me up 3 times. So....other than miscommunication once and loud maids that woke me up when I had planned on sleeping in, I was still VERY impressed with the hotel, especially for the price. Had it not been for those 2 minor bad things, I would have given this hotel a 5. I booked through Southwest.com but I've heard the same rate can be obtained through Orbitz :)
