“Clean new hotel, severely lacks customer service.”

I stayed at this hotel for a business related trip. I have stayed at many other hotels in the Wyndham family and prefer them for the high level of customer service they maintain. This property was a shocking let down in that regard. Here's an example of the terrible service I received: At one point in my stay, I ran out of a toiletry item so I called the front desk from my room and asked if they had toothpaste available for guests. The man replied shortly, "Yeah," so I asked if he could have someone bring it up to my room he said very flatly, "No." No explanation. No, "I'm terribly sorry ma'am I am the only person here at the moment and I cannot leave the desk. Could I trouble you to come get it yourself or would you mind waiting until there's another person around and I'll get it to you as quickly as possible?" (This is the only scenario I imagine where someone in the hospitality industry has an excuse to be so inhospitable. Unfortunately, when I went down to the desk to get the item, there were two people working and a housekeeper nearby emptying trash in the lobby.) Now to be fair, that's a seemingly small incident. On the contrary, my 5 day stay was riddled with situation after situation just like it that frankly were incredibly surprising to me, considering the high level of hospitality most hotels under this brand have maintained, in my experience. Also, the housekeepers left my room usually only lightly tidied up, but often forgot to restock the coffee bar, once forgot to make the bed, and another left cleaning supplies behind in the bathroom. Some positives about this property - it's new, fairly clean and centrally located to Frisco. The breakfast in the morning usually had powdered eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage and other hearty items, if you're looking for that. They also keep fruit and yogurt stocked and have a waffle machine. If it's health food you seek, this may not be your total cup of tea, but otherwise, it was a decent selection for sure.
