“Nightmare at Wingate by Wyndham in Lynn Haven, FL”

My family recently booked two rooms with 1 king bed in each at Wingate by Wyndham in Lynn Haven where Nadine Beavers is the manager. The first night there, a little while after arrival my wife showers and screams, the water is standing around her ankles in the shower. The maint. person go to the wrong room and he is directed to come to our room. A family member that was in other booked room, called and said there is a foul smell in the room and said that her carpet is wet. We call down to the front desk to notify that the carpet was wet all around the bed. Hotel Clerk comes up and inspect and later comes back with 6 towels on the floor and apologize and said that they did not have any other vacant rooms to move to. The clerk asks if the smell becomes unbearable, would she consider moving in the 1 bed-room for the night. My sister-in law said that she would try to stay in the wet carpeted room. However, when she got in the shower, she discovered mold on the shower curtain. She screamed and said that she could not take it because she already had an upper-respiratory infection. Thus, three grown slept together in a 1 bed-room. The next morning we went down and spoke with a person who said that she was the assistant manager named Grace. She apologized for our troubles and offered to give us 10% off of our bookings. My wife informed Grace that 10% was not acceptable because we were not able to use the room because of the conditions. Grace said that she would have to call her manager. Grace called us back down to the front desk and said that her manager agreed waive 1 night of the rooms and move my sister-in law to a different room. Grace gave my sister-law a key to room 408, we went to the room and low and behold, someone else was in there with their chIld. The customer in room 408 was not very happy because he went into his room. We returned to the front desk, but before we could speak the customer in room 408 was calling, where we heard yelling . Grace said that she did not know why that room was occupied and she apologized again. The customer in room 408 saw us in the lobby and stared at us as though he was angry with us. In the meantime, the manager Ms. Nadine Beavers waive charges for one room for the 2 night stay and charged us for one night which we disputed enlight of the conditions that we were subjected to. Ms. Beavers said that she can not justify comping our entire stay, thus she had to charge our family for one night there.
