“Comfortable Pleasant Stay”

  , La Quinta
We were pleasantly surprised that the beds were very comfortable, the staff was extremely pleasant, although not very knowledgeable about the local food opportunities, and the food for breakfast was certainly adequate and tasty. The woman in charge of the morning food service was especially nice and went out of her way to save us the great oatmeal that her assistant made. I'm sorry I forgot her name as she should be mentioned for merit. The other very nice woman we met was the housekeeper who made up our room everyday. The hotel was also strategically located near the expressway. The only complaint we have is when we arrived we had traveled all day from California, were hassled by TSA personnel, and had no food except for a few crackers that my wife packed at the last minute. The US Airways flight ran out of food to SELL at the 12th row and we were seated in row 13. We did not have time to buy food at the airport which we usually do, as we were rushed to connect in Phoenix, and we couldn't get food on the airplane. Thus we were starving by the time we got to the hotel at 8PM. We asked the agent at the desk where we can get something to eat and she had no idea of any food establishments. We asked about the Cracker Barrel next door and she said "they only have a few breakfast items. They're closed now." She gave us a list of eateries and we tried to follow the directions to Chiles and got lost, so we ended back near the hotel and had a sandwich at Subway at 9PM. Not what we had anticipated after being starved all day. When we finally did go to the Cracker Barrel on Sunday for breakfast we were pleasantly surprised to find the food excellent and that they are open for dinner until 10PM weekdays. Your hotel staff should be educated in that fact as it would have saved us a great deal of time and aggravation.
