“annual FL-GA trip”

My friend and I've been staying at this Wingate for 4, maybe 5 years, on this weekend. The staff that services the breakfast area is particularily nice and go out of their way to make sure we have everything we want. The housekeeping staff is always cleaning with a smile and make a point to say hello and ask if there is anything we need. The front desk has always been welcoming and helpful with any of our requests or questions...until this visit. We were certainly not welcomed by the Assistant Manager. Her greeting was something to the effect..."don't expect to get this rate next year! How did you get such a low rate anyway?" A simple "welcome" would have been better. Later when I spoke with the Sales Manager, she apologized and made excuse for the Asst. Manager's comments. I understand her apology, but that does not excuse the rudeness. For next year, we will likely be looking for another hotel for our annual 3 night stay in Jacksonville.
