“Bait and switch game”

Highly disappointed about early departure policy, or lackof policy. I spoke to three different employees at Wyndham's own corporate office and nobody could tell me what the early departure checkout policies are???? Finally an hour into being held on the phone and passed around amongst Wyndham's coporation, a supervisor FINALLY told me the hotels are franchises. As franchises, each hotel can basically set their own rules. The supervisor admittedly told me the hotel was not set up to refuse early departure at that location based on my check in paperwork and I could attempt an appeal. Last thing I wanted on vacation was aggravation, so I declined. I guess being a Priority Club member is meaningless. Why did I want to checkout early? I was unsatisfied being placed in a room designed for a disabled person with shower. I asked to switch rooms and was told a siginificant room fee would apply. Keep in mind, it was mid-week and the hotel was about 50% occupied. This hotel definitely doesn't understand the concept of thinking "big picture." Is it more important to keep a loyal Priority Club guest for life, or to force us to stay in a location we were unsatisfied with? Big picture people, big picture! I can personally confirm the supervisor's response of franchises having different rules based on being at the Wyndham Garden hotel in SoBE just a few weeks prior. My wife and I walked up to the Continental Breakfast to select Yogurt and fruit and we were told to take a seat and wait to be served. At that hotel, their definition of Continental Breakfast means the staff actually serves you one plate of food of 'their' choosing lol. The server brought us over danishes and a small fruit cup. We even showed him our Continental Breakfast pamphlet from inside our room which described the breakfast and he told us it was wrong lol. Of course for an additional fee, we could select any food we wanted from the Continental Breakfast. So, their definition of Continental Breakfast ended up costing us over $100 extra to eat their each morning during our stay. I've wasted enough of my time already by discussing these issues with font decks and also Wyndham coroporate parent company. My only advice is to stay at another hotel chain where there is consistency throughout "all hotels" with their policies. Who needs aggravation on vacation?
