“BAD A/C and Refrig”

Before this experience I had stay at Wingate, even this one several time before and liked my stay. The first night there was ok, although a little warm it was not too bad, the second night I was out all day, and did not get back till after 11:30pm, The room was way to warm eventhough I had set to temperature to 68. I did not complain about it because I was just to tired and wanted to go to bed. I turned the TV on and remote was not working correctly, although strange thing was that my the next morning the remote seem to be working fine. On the A/C the maid should of notice it being hot, looked and see that it was sit to 68, but was too hot. There were young people, teens, out in the hall making a lot of noise, and I had to get up and tell them to me quiet. And the finally when I got up in the morning ready to leave, the drink that I put in the refrigerator Friday night, it was now Sunday, was frozen. The real problem, and why I writing this review, came when I got to the front desk. I think here name was, Holly, but anyway she was less the sympathetic saying only that they could not do anything about the problem unless they knew about the issue. She need not ask is there anything we can do to help. When ask to pay for the drink that was frozen she just said no. It was not the money that was the issue, but at least something to do to try to make a upset quest feel a little better. I finally had enough, I asked to speak to the hotel manager, she said that he would tell me the same thing. She finally called him, and he at least seem to listen and did understand the issues. (some of which i told no one ie kids and remote) and did at least genuinely seem to be sorry and did refund the money for the drink. And since I did not pay the room directly from Wingate, could not offer me a refund of on by stay price. I used to like staying at Wingate, I thought they were a good value for the money, but I will NEVER stay at this particular one again, and I will have to think hard about staying at another. The Hotel Staff was good to great, except for checkout.
