“Disappointed”

Our stay was great until I realized we had a false charge placed on our account. I was charged a pet fee when a pet did not stay in our room. We had a puppy that we had just bought the day we arrived. The puppy stayed in a crate in our van (had blanket in crate for comfort and crate was covered by a blanket to help comfort puppy). My boys stayed with it until late that night and woke up early to go out and feed it and let it out. As we were leaving, my husband pulled our van under the portico at the front lobby entrance to load our luggage in our van. I am assuming the lady at the front desk saw the puppy outside in the van and assumed the pet had stayed in the hotel all night. I was never asked if this occurred or anything. The last bill I saw was under my door and listed the two room we had stayed in and that was it. When I saw my bill on online banking the next day I noted the extra charge and called to question it. It was then I was told about the pet fee. I am still waiting for a supervisor to call me back to get this resolved. I have asked them to pull video and follow our every move in the parking lot and in the hotel to validate this. I know the charge is not that much - $28.00 - However, it's the point of being charged and accused of something that did not occur based on an employees assumptions.
