“Find somewhere else to stay...”

As previous guests, we were looking forward to our stay as we were extremely satisfied with the accommodations as well as service last year. However, this stay has been miserable due to lack of customer service and linens. Upon making the request for towels at the front desk we were told none were available and that the evening personnel "P...... " couldn't give us any as she didn't do housekeeping. Apparently, no one does housekeeping as the hallway and at least our room was filthy (bathroom reeked of urine and the shower contained mildew on both the caulking and shower curtain). The entrance nearest to the hot tub was saturated in water on multiple occasions causing a hazard where several of our party including a staff member slipped upon approaching the elevators. Again, "P......'s" lack of customer service skills were tested when this was brought to her attention; advising us that the children caused the mess and she did all she could by placing a wet floor sign 10' away as she didn't do housekeeping. I'm certain the children did cause the mess, however had there been towels available they would have been able to dry off. We have been playing in Savannah for the past 2 years and I am sure that we will continue this tradition for years to come as it is great bonding time for our girls, however this will be the final year that we will stay at Wingate. As an individual that currently works in Human Resources and has many years in the customer service industry, I'm appalled at the level of service offered at this location. Other than the young lady that was here at check-in, as she has been the only polite, capable customer service rep. We have encountered thus far.It is a shame that this establishment bears the Wingate by Wyndham name.
