“Great property, mediocre room”

My wife and I recently stayed at the Tinley Park property. We were very impressed with the service and how nice the facility. The free continental breakfast was impressive and very good. The only downside was our room. While it was very clean and nicely furnished there was a strong odor that we couldn't figure out where it was coming from. The next day we realized it was probably from water damage in the ceiling (mold most likely). The toilet in our bathroom was also broken and ran noisily for a very long time after being flushed. I brought this up to the person that checked us out and he promised to let us know if there would be some compensation on our bill. 3 days later I haven't received any kind of phone call. If not for the lack of response regarding my bill I would have easily given this property a 5/5 based on the price and overall quality of the hotel. Unfortunately, customer service just fell a little short. Let me be clear, the desk attendant, breakfast attendant and maintenance person were extremely helpful and friendly. I would have liked to receive a call from someone in management about the issues with my room.
