I usually stay at Hampton because of points. But, they were booked. I was pleasantly surprised with Wingate and wondered why it wasn't busier than Hampton. The rooms are better, the amenities (furniture, tv size, coffee maker) are better. But, I was very concerned about the rust that came out of faucets; more, the hot water scolds withn the first 2 seconds. You're asking for a McDonald's lawsuit if you don't address this. The breakfast items are boring, carbs, carbs, carbs. There were 2 apples, but they were old. The only thing that was unappealing is that I am a State employee and they didn't removed the taxes. I called on the first morning, but they didn't adjust until I came down an hour later. Still, 3 employees didn't know how to make the adjustment and then the printer didn't work. I had to stay a second night and chose Wingate again, even though I was foregoing diamond points at Hilton. When I checked in, I asked them to make sure that the billing agent remove the taxes, but they weren't removed. Again, I had to ask for a reprint. Everyone was polite, enough, but there was no presence of a manager.
