“Interesting check in!”

Poor service, rude staff at check in, dirty bathroom floor, rubber breakfast food! Nicer staff at check out. Had reservations, but check in lady couldn't figure out how to check me in. Demanded that I sit down and wait so she could wait on man behind me. She repeatedly yelled at me to go sit down! Being almost midnight, I asked if she had my reservation or open rooms. She said yes, but she couldn't check me in. She attempted several calls to get assistance without success. I offered to go to one of the other hotels that were available for me using my Wyndham points as we were exhausted and needed to travel another 8 hours the next morning. She finally told me i could go to my room. Went to the desk to ask for keys and finish checking in. She told me that my room was "opened" and that she left the keys in the room. There were groups of men walking around in parking lot, in lobby and around the hotel (Large fleet of Oncor trucks in parking lot.) She told me to come back to desk in morning to "check in" when I was ready to "check out!" She left the room unlocked and door open for me while my husband and I unloaded our car. (safety issue with so many people wandering around!) When we got into our room there were black boot prints all over bathroom floor, not very clean. We were too tired to ask for room change and we didn't want to get yelled out again. During the night she slid a handwritten note in bold black marker under our door telling us to "stop at FD in morning to check in!" Breakfast food was the worst we ever had at a hotel. Desk clerk and morning manager Tia very attentive and nice and shocked to hear of our treatment and attitude of desk clerk the night before! This will not be our first choice in hotels if we are in this area again! It was an interesting experience!!
