“Mixed”

Lobby and hallways of this hotel give a nice impression, but upon arriving at the room it is obvious the rooms need updating. Mold in the corners of the tub surround was a turn-off as was the last visitor's washcloth hanging over the back corner of the shower curtain where the maid didn't see it. The 1980's TV had to be turned on with the wall switch first, then tuned at the set to channel 4 before scrolling with the remote thru menus to finally select a channel. I had to call the front desk for instructions. Then don't turn it off at the wall or you go thru this routine all over again.My biggest disappointment was having reserved a room with one King bed but then given a room with two standard size beds. Really? A call to the front desk and the staff said it wasn't available when I checked in. Huh? Maybe it's common but I've never had this kind of bait and switch at a hotel. If a hotel doesn't have a king room available they shouldn't make the reservation. The standard size bed was just not big enough for two people used to sleeping on a queen bed. If I had been offered two small beds upon making the reservation I would have simply looked for another place to stay. Then on checkout I was charged $10 above the rate quoted in my reservation. The staff corrected the price when I showed them a print-out of my reservation.On the plus side the breakfast was quite good and the staff friendly, but unfortunately I had much more interaction with the staff than I expect on a normal hotel stay.
