Hello Jennifer!I am so sorry that your stay was so uncomfortable. I know you have stayed with us several times in the past, and I wish I had had the opportunity to make this right by you during your stay instead of learning about it a week later online. It is always our goal to fix any problems immediately so that you can enjoy your stay. I will be reviewing our surveillance footage right away to investigate your comments about our waterpark staff. Generally people give us compliments about them, so the things you notice are very concerning to me. I also regret that we were not able to check you in prior to our regular check in time. Although we do our best to accomodate all early check in requests (and there are lots of them on the weekends), we cannot always have every single room ready to rent early when we have been full the night before. I am so sorry to hear about the mishap. In reviewing your reservation I did see that it was booked online and you had booked for Friday night. Although I regret that you were disappointed in the lack of a refund, I am sure you can understand that hotels charge for reservations as booked when full, as we otherwise are just turning away business. However, I am certainly very sorry that our staff was not able to assist you in finding alternate accommodations. I would love to know who you dealt with (or what time you arrived on property) so that I can speak with those staff members. Although the internet can be very convenient, with more and more guests booking stays via online sources we find that reservation mistakes are becoming increasingly common. I want to make sure our staff is doing everything they can to help during an already stressful situation such as this. i would also be more than happy to offer you a discount on a future stay to take some of the sting out of your pocketbook!Best regards,Kim « hide

Thanks for the feedback Ginger! I am glad that your family enjoyed their stay. I love the specifice feedback you gave as it is so helpful (both the compliments and the challenges). I will definitely share the compliments with our staff. I agree that it is so frustrating when people smoke in non-smoking establishments thinking they can hide it or cover it up. We do our best to eliminate the odor after this happens. And I will check the room you were in today to make sure the velcro attachments on the drapes are placed correctly so they can close all the way. I am with you...nice and dark is the way to sleep! Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It is great that you had a great stay. I am happy to announce that we have now replaced all thermostats that didn't allow individual control over fan speed. Although they were billed as energy efficient and great for the environment when we bought them, the "automated" fan feature quickly proved to be a challenge when providing customized guest comfort. Now you will be able to set not only the temperature but the fan function exactly to your liking. Thank you for your feedback. Having been present when you checked in, I was very sorry to hear about the condition of the chair in your initial room. While we were in the process of bringing you a new one, you spoke with our front desk staff and we were able to move you to a room we thought would be more comfortable. When I spoke with you after you had been in your new room for about half an hour you indicated that things were much better, so I was unaware that you again had so many problems until you checked out the following morning and left the comment card. I am so sorry that your stay was not to your liking. I hope we have the chance to have you back for a much better experience!
