“We will never stay there again.”

Our experience was horrible. The heater vibrated intermittently, making it difficult to sleep. We reported this to the manager, who said that he would have this taken care of, but nothing was done. Then a group of very noisy young women arrived and occupied rooms on our floor. They were talking and laughing in the halls at 3 a.m. We asked them to stop. When that failed, we called the main desk. The night manager said that he would take care of the situation. The noise did not stop, and continued on the second night. In addition, there were insufficient blankets for a winter stay. When another guest mentioned this to the manager, he told her to turn up the heat. Given the noisiness of the heater, this was a poor solution. In all fairness to the manager, he did resolve other problems, such as the absence of water in the bathroom wash basin. The refrigerator failed on the second day, but by that time we were too disgusted to report it. It was clear that there was insufficient staffing at night. In addition to the manager there should be a uniformed security guard to handle such matters as disruptive guests. The manager obviously cannot effectively deal with such situations because he needs to remain at the main desk.
