“A horrible experience”

When we got down to breakfast on Saturday morning at 9 o'clock, there was nothing left. The few pieces of French toast were dried out, the bread for toast was dried out, and there was no Waffle batter left. When we asked a server for more batter and he said there wasn't anything left. He brought us out some frozen Eggo waffles that had been in the freezer for a VERY long time. When we open the package the waffles were covered in ice and very dried out. Toasting them didn't make them any better. We complained to the front desk person, who'd then spoke to a manager. She told us those waffles were never intended to be given to guests. We finally went to a diner down the road to have breakfast costing us $20, expense I hadn't expected. Sunday morning we had to go to that same diner for breakfast as there was only eggs and sausage for breakfast. There was still no waffle batter and the rest of the food was not appetizing looking. I was expecting a hot breakfast and only had the choice of cold cereal, yogurt, or dried out toast. The second disappointment was the pool area. Another reason I chose this hotel was so that we could relax by the pool. The video games from the game room had been moved into the pool area. While sitting there, we constantly heard the music and sounds of the games even though nobody was playing them. Although I could live with that, it got worse when it people came down to play the games. Finally after sitting there for about 15 minutes listening to some young boys shooting things up with what sounded like machine guns, my husband and I left the pool area and went back to our room. Also they were pool chemicals scattered across the floor around the jacuzzi area. The cover for the area where you would put the chemicals was covered in pool chemicals. It looks like the employee hadn't bothered to lift the cover to add the chemicals. Instead he or she probably just tried to pour the chemicals into the two holes on top if the lid, spilling chemicals all over the lid. These were then tracked all around the outside of the Jacuzzi area. I won't be staying at this location again.
