“Worst Experience ever at a Wingate by Wyndham”

Wingate by Wyndham has been a number one choice for my business trips and has always lived up to my expectations and surpassed in most cases. However, my last experience at wingate was by far the worst experience I have ever had at this hotel chain. Room was not cleaned completely upon arrival and no one cared to come change the sheets and make it right, the tv was not working, and the ice machines were out of order and some vending machines. Front desk was called and it was the response of I will call, I just had someone else complain as well, let me see if I can get someone out here. The next morning I woke and breakfast down stairs was horrible. Gravy was in a thermos and had hard clunks in it as well as milk was in gallon containers so everyone was touching and getting milk out of the same container...UNSANITARY !!! The sausage was so greasy that it covered your plate while standing in line....Needless to say, food was tossed out and I had to waste time before my appointments to get something to eat, which was additional cost to me. Before leaving for the day, I was standing in my room before 10:00 and was walked in on by the cleaning staff without a knock on the door. I found out by calling the front desk that my room was checked out in the system because I was only in for staying one night. I had confirmation of a two night reservation and the front desk staff blame the mistake on me. They asked well did you tell the front desk staff member upon check in that you were staying two nights...CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE. I spoke with the manager at this time and she corrected the issue and I also addressed the cleaning crew issue with dirty sheets etc that I had called about prior to this call. She assured me that after I left for the morning that she would either change them herself or would send someone in to change them. I returned that afternoon to find the same sheets and towels missing. I called the front desk they said they did hear her say that and they would try and call and get someone up to the room. I left for dinner, returned to find the SAME sheets, I went to the front desk and the lady told me she would take care of it herself. I left and returned to find the SAME sheets, went back to the desk where there was another new staff member and complained about the same thing. She said she would change them herself as soon as she got free. I arrived back that evening to finally find CLEAN sheets. Still have not heard from the GM as requested.
