Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent stay with us. I am sorry that you felt that our 15% bereavement discount was not a deal. The Wingate by Wyndham Sylvania does strive to offer our guests competitive rates to other local hotels. We also offer a variety of amenities to ensure the most comfortable stay as possible. Our all inclusive rates include a complimentary expanded continental breakfast and free wireless internet access. The Wingate by Wyndham also offers a 24 hour business center and a fitness center. We are a non smoking facility and do not allow smoking in any of our public spaces. I am so sorry that other guests did not adhere to our non smoking policy. Please know that our goal is not only to exceed your expectations but to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. I am so sorry if the Wingate by Wyndham did not meet your expectations. Please know that your feedback is very important in improving our property and service on a daily basis. « hide

I am so sorry that you did not enjoy your recent experience with the Wingate by Wyndham Sylvania. After reviewing your reservation, it looks as though you had spoken with both our Sales Manager and Assistant General Manager regarding this reservation. Unfortunately, at the time you booked, we did not have a Whirlpool Suite available for Saturday evening as we were almost sold out for this date for weeks in advance. Due to this limited availability, you requested that we book you two separate reservations, one for Saturday night in a standard king and an additional reservation for Sunday evening in the Whirlpool Suite. We did explain at the time of booking that check out was at noon on Sunday and that we may not be able to check you into the Whirlpool Suite until check in of 3:00PM on Sunday due to the Whirlpool Suite being occupied on Saturday evening. I am so sorry that we were unable to reserve the Whirlpool Suite for both nights as the room type requested was not available at the time you called to book with us. I am also sorry that we were not able to get you in early on Sunday but the previous guest had until noon to check out of their suite and we needed time for our housekeeping staff to clean the room. The room was available for you to check in by our guaranteed check in time of 3:00 PM on Sunday. We also want to clarify as for the credit card charges made to your account, as we only have two charges made to your account. One charge was for your stay on Saturday evening and the other charge was for your stay on Sunday. The other two charges you are mentioning were authorizations only and were not charges. Upon check-in, we do authorize the amount of your stay including tax, plus an additional $20.00 per day (to cover any incidentals charges or damages that may be incurred) to your credit card account. We specifically ask for a credit card to avoid debit card use as these cards show authorizations as charges and we have no control over that. There is also a sign explaining why we ask for credit cards upon check in. Authorizations may be held on your account by your bank for up to 21 days even if no charges are processed. These policies are set by each individual bank at their discretion. After speaking with you regarding your concerns, our Sales Manager asked that our General Manager or Assistant General Manager follow up with you regarding this situation as they take care of any accounting issues. Unfortunately, our Assistant General Manager was unable to reach you and had to leave a voicemail for you. I am so sorry if you feel that our staff was unhelpful, but please know that they thought that they were providing you with all of the information needed to make your stay and room change as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Our goal is not to not only meet the needs of each and every guest we serve, but to exceed your expectations to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
