“check in/out confusion”

I experienced some good and bad at this hotel. After waiting 10 minutes to check in we were told that the hotel was over booked and there was no room with a king bed for us. We were told we had to be put in a suite. The suite had a kitchen table, couch and chair and a separate bedroom with a few plants. After we settled in the room the front desk called to ask our name because they forgot who they put in the room. One day we were given only 1 towel and had to ask for more. I was surprized at the noise level from the other rooms. We could hear the TV from the room next to us and we could hear people walking above us. The breakfast area was clean but did not have a lot of food available. I had to ask the attendant every day for something. I asked at the front desk about visiting Baton Rouge and was told "I don't know anything about Baton Rouge". The hot tub was not available because it needed repairs. I asked if it would be fixed during our stay and I was told it has been broken for several weeks. I asked for a late checkout and was told 1:00PM would be fine. At 11:00AM the front desk called and said we know you asked for a late checkout but what time did we say you could leave? Finally at checkout they charged me the wrong room rate for 2 rooms a night for the 4 nights I was there. When I questioned it they corrected it but still charged me a slighlty higher room rate than what I booked. The things that made this hotel stay enjoyable were the upgraded suite, the cleanliness, and the "homey" feel.
