“Met my expectations of Wyndham chain being cut-rate”; Feb 13, 2013 Karl H, Mantorville; Plus: bed comfortable, refrig and micro in room, helpful evening receptionist, generally nice meeting facility, good wireless bandwidthEven: breakfast better than most cut-rate places, but not excitingMinus: old TV with poor reception on network channels; day clerk unappologetic for exercise room closed due to mold - no effort to make arrangements with health club 1/2 block away; asked clerk for some small pads of paper and was refused until I made a fuss; told staff that bathroom in conference center needed cleaning and supplies - - wasn't cleaned for another 2 hours and still didn't have paper after 4 hours.

Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us at the Wingate. I am sorry that you encountered the problems that you have listed.We are currently undergoing a renovation of our property but new rooms were not yet available at the time of your stay. The televisions have all been replaced with 42 inch LED flatscreens. Also new carpet and painting, bedding and furnishings have neen added.After a few complaints about our fitness room being temporarily closed for updgrading as you mentioned we have reached out to our neighboring fitness business and have aquired guest passes while our gym is out of service..I am glad to hear that you found some of the features and amenities to your liking but we failed at providing an excellent overall stay and for that please accept our apology.
