“Clean and new but handicap rooms could be improved.”

  , Columbus
Clean modern rooms. Nice hot breakfast. Only thing they could change is the fabric on the chairs in the dining room. They are stained because they cannot be wiped off. No fabric or vinyl seats that could be wiped off would be better. Have a swimming pool, but the hot tub was green and needed fixed. Do not think it was right the four days that we stayed there. We had a handicap room. What I do not understand is why newer hotels are putting bathtubs in handicap rooms where an older person has to step over the bathtub. My 88 yr. old mother was with us and it would have been hard for her to get in the tub. The tub did have bars and wasn't as high as some bathtubs, but would not work for a person in a wheel chair. The toilet was high and there were bars for an elderly person to help them get up. There was also a bench for the bathtub. It used to be that handicap rooms were on the first floor. This one was on the third. We stayed at another newer hotel where it was the same way. It would be much easier if they would have them on the first floor. There was easy access if you went down to the parking underneath the hotel and got on the elevator to the third floor. It wasn't too far from the elevator. But I wondered what would happen if there were a fire. It would be very hard to get an elderly person out.
