“Hotel was filthy...”

Let me preface this review by saying that the hotel itself looked like it was under renovation. I however was appalded when I got off the elevator and saw all the stains in the hallway carpet. Red stains, white stains, black stains. It was almost like the contractors didn't care about getting the place dirty. There were even stacks of chairs at the end of the hallway thrown in a heap. Ceiling tiles were busted open, the wall paper was falling off the walls. Even the elevator signs were falling down. I don't understand why the management did not elect to remodel one floor at a time.When I got to my room, it looked like it had just been redone with nice laminate hardwoods, but the dust on the floor made me not want to take off my shoes. I don't know whether the dust came from the construction or from a bad HVAC system, but regardless, I didnt understand why it was there.If there was one positive, it was the very friendly hotel staff. But all in all, I booked the place to save $25 from staying at the Courtyard and I regretted not spending the more money. I was very disappointed. I will not stay there again.
