“Train delivers wake-up call”

  , Kent
Pros: Clean, attractive, high-end feel without the priceCons: Train horn at 6:45am every morning may wake youThe hotel is very attractive and clean, with modern furnishings and a feeling of "newness." The room felt high-end, with a large flat-screen TV, nice furniture and color scheme, and a large bathroom. The big TV would've been more enjoyed if it didn't take 5 seconds to change to another channel and had a guide that worked so we could find something we wanted to watch. The complimentary breakfast--eggs, bacon, make-your-own waffles, muffins, fruit, cereal, juice, coffee--was good and maintained by the staff, so there were no shortages. Other hotels I've been at run out of food after the first batch of customers, but not here. The 15x30 indoor pool was well-heated and great to swim in. Since not many guests use this facility, it is very private. The spa was nice and hot. The exercise room is small, but there is a flat-screen TV to watch as you work out.We had no problems with the hotel itself and enjoyed the facilities a lot. However, if you like to sleep in, it is virtually impossible as a train leans on his horn at about 6:45am while passing by on the two weekend days we stayed. Our room was on the back of the building which faces the tracks (obscured by a treeline) so a room facing the parking lot might have been better--but not by much.A minor glitch to note: We ran out of toilet paper and the front desk didn't have any. She said she would send it up, but an hour later, it never happened. We had to grab one from a maid cart in the hall.
